We live in a very stressful world! So many pieces of information, technology, work, relationships, health, finances.......all competing for our attention at every moment. This has given rise to the number of people in Austin searching for anxiety treatment. Most of us go through our days at a heightened level of anxiety, even though we may not realize it. Being anxious has become the norm. Constant stress that is not managed can cause physical as well as mental pain and discomfort. Typical symptoms include scattered focus, racing thoughts, muscle tension, headaches, emotional upset, inability to think clearly, difficulty sleeping, and excessive worry.
Do you need anxiety treatment? You're not alone:
I love to help people build habits into their lives that lead to peace, relaxation and more control over themselves. Are you ready to learn new skills and strategies in order to feel better and function more effectively? Here are some of my typical approaches:
First, I will help you to get to know your anxiety very well. What specific situations, people, times, patterns of thinking tend to heighten your stress? What happens in your body? What happens in your mind? The better you can identify your anxiety early, the more easily you can intervene.
Second, we will analyze your patterns of thinking. It's not so much what happens to you that makes you anxious - it is, instead, what you think about what happens to you. This is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and it is very effective in managing emotion.
Third, I will show you some awesome ways to relax your body. Did you know that if your body is relaxed, your mind will also relax?
And all this is just the beginning. The great majority of my clients make excellent progress in anxiety relief and learn to create peace and calm in the midst of chaos.
I work with individuals struggling with generalized anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobias and many other conditions which are characterized by increased anxiety.
